design - trends 2017

Let’s look at different trends on the horizon for 2017

2017 colour trends

black and white patterns

2017 TREND - USING A HARMONIOUS PALLATE OF ORANGES AND WARM YELLOWS WITH A NAVY CONTRAST

2017 TREND - HIGH CHROMA UNUSUAL COMBINATIONS - LOW IN VALUE (IE SOME OF THE CONTRASTING COLOUR ADDED TO MUTE THE HUE)

2017 TREND - CURVES WILL BE APPARENT- NO SHARP LINES! AN INFLUENCE TO EUROPEAN CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE WILL BE SEEN WITH NATURAL STONE COLOURS

For Spring 2017 we feel that there will be a trend to asymmetrical design. Warm muted oranges with a pop of colour such as mint green will be seen.

Heaps of Black and white patterns will still linger after Winter - with a pop of fluro colour such as mustard yellow or high chroma pink.

2017 trend - BIG FLORAL FEATURES CAN BE USED ON A WALL, OR FABRIC. USE NEUTRAL COLOURS ON THE OTHER AREAS (SUCH AS PALE GREY BLUES) WITH A POP OF COLOUR. USE ONE OF THE COLOURS FROM THE FLORAL PATTERN…

2017 TREND a palate of blue and teal greys with a beige and forest green…

2017 TREND - MUSTARD YELLOW WILL BE USED AS A HIGHLIGHT, AND FEATURE. BE CAREFUL TO USE THIS ON ITEMS THAT HAVE A SHORT LIFE SPAN (SUCH AS CUSHIONS, DRAPES, LAMPS) AS THIS WILL NOT LAST!
